The ACPE Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy (SIP) Training Program is a multidisciplinary, inter-spiritual, and multi-racial learning community designed for mental health professionals and graduate students who want to integrate spirituality and meaning-making into their therapeutic work.

Through a blend of continuing education, professional formation, and mentorship, the SIP Program helps clinicians engage their clients’ spiritual stories with greater skill, sensitivity, and ethical grounding.

Open to Pre-Licensed & Licensed Clinicians and Students

This training is ideal for:​

  • Licensed or provisionally licensed therapists

  • Pastoral counselors, social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists

  • Chaplains and addiction specialists

  • Graduate students in mental health disciplines

Whether you come from a religious tradition, consider yourself spiritual but not religious, or simply want to better serve clients from diverse spiritual backgrounds, this program offers a meaningful framework for integration.

Two Levels of Training, Optional Certification, and Ongoing Support

The SIP Training Program offers a comprehensive path for integrating spirituality into your clinical work, from foundational education to certification and beyond.

​

  • Level I Training: 15 CE hours introducing the core theory, ethics, and clinical practices of spiritually integrated psychotherapy

  • Level II Training: 15 additional CE hours focused on deepening integration and applying concepts in clinical settings

  • Certification Path (Optional):

    • 20 hours of consultation with an SIP Trainer

    • A Certification Peer Consultation

  • Communities of Practice: Continue learning, connecting, and forming professionally after certification through facilitated peer groups

  • Train the Trainer Program: For certified participants interested in leading future SIP trainings
