
Privacy Policy
The Counseling Center, PLLC may use your mobile phone number to contact you regarding appointments, missed appointments, or non-therapy related questions. We do not use your information for solicitation, and we do not sell your information third parties. If you would prefer that your therapist not contact you by text message, you simply need to let your therapist know. Please note that email and text messaging are not considered secure forms of communication, and you are encouraged to utilize these methods of communication only for general information or scheduling.
The Counseling Center utilizes a service called “Simple Practice” to manage our practice. If you become a client of the center, Simple Practice will give you the opportunity to opt in to appointment reminders by email or text. You may opt out of these at any time by informing your therapist or making changes in the client portal. You will receive notice of how to log in to your personal portal to complete paperwork, review forms, request appointments and submit or receive HIPAA compliant messages. All information collected by Simple Practice is considered protected health information and cannot be shared without your written permission except for limitations established by law. Such exceptions will be reviewed with clients.
