Based at our Belle Meade location, Chris brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and spiritual insight to support clients through life’s emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges.

Chris’s background includes hospital chaplaincy and pastoral psychotherapy, and his approach draws from both psychological theory and spiritual understanding. He works with clients of all faith backgrounds, including those who are religious, questioning, unaffiliated, or healing from past spiritual harm. Chris is especially skilled at helping clients explore the deeper roots of their struggles while uncovering practical, life-giving solutions.

Clients often seek Chris for issues related to anxiety, grief, life transitions, religious trauma, and spiritual direction. He also provides therapy for clergy, church staff, and faith leaders experiencing burnout or personal stress.

In addition to his counseling work, Chris is an ordained minister, speaker, and writer. He has published numerous articles and Sunday School lessons, and is the author of Therapeutic Friendship: Cultivating Relationships That Heal. Chris has been married to Lynda since 1987, and they have two daughters.
