Cara Lindell, LPC-MHSP, is a Licensed Professional Counselor – Mental Health Service Provider and National Board Certified Counselor based at The Counseling Center at Belle Meade United Methodist Church. She provides therapy for individuals and couples in the Belle Meade and West Nashville area, with a special focus on grief, relationship to self, anxiety, emotional regulation, and relationship challenges.

In addition to her professional licensure, Cara is certified in the Grief Recovery Method® and the SYMBIS Pre-Marital Assessment, offering specialized support for clients navigating significant losses and those preparing for marriage. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and a Master’s in Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta.

Cara works with a wide range of client concerns, including depression, low self-worth, life transitions, affair recovery, and shame. She draws from various therapeutic approaches, with much of her work rooted in Psychodynamic theory-exploring the underlying messages and beliefs we carry and how those shape our thoughts, behaviors, and relationships.

Above all, Cara believes the most important element in therapy is a trusting, collaborative relationship. She works intentionally to understand each client as their full and unique self, creating a safe, open space for insight, healing, and lasting growth.
