Elmore is a therapeutic pastoral counselor who is currently working towards license as a Clinical Pastoral Therapist in Tennessee. He is currently the Senior Pastor at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Tullahoma and has served as District Association Moderator and President of the Baptist State Congress. He holds a Master of Divinity from Sewanee – The University of the South and a Master of Pastoral Care & Counseling from American Baptist College. He is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry program in pastoral counseling at Memphis Theological Seminary.
Elmore has the knowledge of his education, but also has wisdom that comes from his years of professional experience and a variety of life lessons that allow him to listen to each client with a deeply caring heart. Elmore respects the fact that in his counseling he is invited to holy work of joining with people on their journey of life and seeks to respond to each client’s story without judgement. His holistic approach draws on the best of his own faith tradition and spiritual wisdom to assist his clients in finding meaning in life, but also helps clients find practical solutions to their presenting issues. Elmore enjoys working with clients who have a variety of presenting issues including marriage/relationship challenges, trauma, and issues of grief and loss.
Elmore is married to Angeleta and together they have 5 kids and two grandkids.
